At first Verizon claimed that it was a battery problem, then new firmware, then they began replacing units, but each one has problems.

Great features, HUGE HEADACHE

The Droid 2 is a fantastic phone when it isn't mal-functioning, which is often. I received one two years ago with a Verizon contract. Since then, it has been replaced 4 times. My son has one. It has been replaced 3 times. Friends that have one tell me of the same problems. Automatically reboots, or locks up, or rotates pages all on its own, or starts up on its own (not a great feature on an airplane), or dials phone numbers on its own, the list goes on and on. At first Verizon claimed that it was a battery problem, then new firmware, then they began replacing units, but each one has problems. I believe that it is a heat and/or humidity sensitivity. If you keep the phone in your pocket, this is not the phone for you. Place it in a cool dry room, it works great. When it works, it is wonderful.

Love

I upgraded to this phone a while ago after having a samsung galaxy 5. this phone was great upgrade, I put a custom rom on it and have hardly any issues, its fast and I love that its global (not that I travel much) but if i ever do I have the option to do it cheaply and freely. My only real complaint is that once in a while it likes to reboot it's self, but that could be do to rooting it and the custom rom. Standard android-fare, apps, wall papers and Pure joyyyy!

I get you get what you pay for but I didn't pay 30$ to only get to use my phone for one day. As soon as I opened my phone I saw that it had water damage from the sticker in phone. I turned it on and the left of the phones touch screen didn't work, and only the home and search button on the bottom of screen work. And now that I try to plug it up to charge it it won't even charge so thanks anyway but ima need a refund. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE

Only worked on speakerphone

No one could hear me when I called unless this phone was set on speaker. Apparently a common problem after it is dropped - but this happened right out of the box.

Otherwise, would have been a decent little phone for the price.
